Sonia Menon is the Director of Professional Recruitment & Development at Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, a 200 lawyer Chicago law firm. Ms. Menon manages all aspects of lateral and law school recruitment, the firm’s summer associate program, attorney evaluation, compensation and diversity initiatives. She is responsible for attorney professional development, CLE curriculum and she oversees the firm’s mentoring programs and attorney orientation and integration programs. She also is actively involved in supporting the firm’s Women’s Network committee and Diversity committee. Ms. Menon is an active NALP member, and her contributions include serving on NALP’s Board as Treasurer (2005-2007), chairing the Awards of Distinction Committee, NALP Audit and Investment Committee. She recently chaired the 2007-2008 NALP Nominating Committee, and served as chair of NALP’s Diversity Summit planning committee (2007). She served as Regional Coordinator in 2004. Ms. Menon served as Vice-President of the Chicago city group (CALPA) where she remains an active member, and also is a member of the Professional Development Consortium (PDC).
